Is a playground ESA eligible in Arizona?

Is a swing set or playset ESA eligible
A playground set — swing set, playset, slide — is Tier 2: allowable with a curriculum document, typically for early-grades PE or motor-skills development. A backyard structure can qualify when it's genuinely the PE program.
The mistake families make
The neighbors on the prohibited list. Outdoor shade structures, bounce houses, water slides, and trampolines over 10 feet are all prohibited — and they're exactly what gets bundled with or mistaken for playground equipment. An installation fee on the same receipt is separately prohibited too.
The allowable path nearby
Buy the playset itself with a curriculum document for the PE or motor-skills course, keep assembly fees off the ESA card (self-assemble or pay installation personally), and leave the shade sail and bounce house out of the order entirely.
The receipt still has to be complete
A yes on allowability doesn't survive an incomplete receipt. Every receipt needs the vendor's name, address, and contact; the date; a receipt or order number; an itemized description; and the itemized and total amounts. Missing any field can get the expense rejected — and undocumented debit-card purchases past the quarterly deadline must be repaid.
